"Shoes must have very high heels and platforms to put women's beauty on a pedestal" -Vivian Westwood
Last weekend I had a chance to catch the Killer Heels exhibit currently showing at the Albuquerque Museum and it was sooo inspiring! It is extrodinary that so much detail and shape can go into a rather small item; a dress is long, so much space to add design details. These shoes are little sculptures, intricate works of art and I love the history behind each one.
"Killer Heels explores fashion's most provocative accessory. From the high platform chopines of sixteenth-century to the glamourous stilettos gracing today's runways and red carpets, the exhibit looks at the high-heeled shoe's rich and varied history and it's enduring place in our popular imagination."- Albuquerque Museum of Art and History
These are just a few of my favorites...
